Thomas Hull opened the El Rancho Vegas on April 3, 1941. The hotel had 40 cottages,
and a very small casino. It featured one roulette table, one dice table, and
two blackjack tables. Many people give credit to the El Rancho Vegas as the
birth place of the all you can eat buffet in Las Vegas.
