This little casino was around for about a year. As James C. tells it- "A gambler hit two $25,000 keno tickets in a short time and put this place out of business!" The Bird Cage was absorbed by the Mint, then years later, the Horseshoe absorbed the Mint.
The name Bird Cage came from an old casino game called "Chuck A Luck"
